Ik ben door mijn rug gegaan. Omdat zitten wat moeilijk is doe ik even iets anders er tussen door. Hier kan ik bij staan. Eerst een kit van Bandai uit de Star Wars collectie (kit nr. 0207574). Een Clone Trooper van Attack of the Clones. Niet veel over te vertellen, behalve dan dat ik dit zeer leuke kits vind. Ze zijn eenvoudig in elkaar te zetten, maar van hoge kwaliteit. Verven lijkt niet echt nodig, al hoewel ik dat wel zal doen met de grotere kits zoals Slave1 en The Millennium Falcon. Eerst weer de foto's.

De instructies zijn overzichtelijk... Overal staat bij welk nummer van welk raam komt. De tekening is zeer gedetailleerd.
The instructions are very clear... Every part tells you to use what number from which sprue. The drawings are very detailled.
We beginnen met het hoofd. Prachtig zoals alles in elkaar past...

Dan het bovenlichaam...

The waist.
De heupen.
The hips.
Het bovenbeen, de knie, het onderbeen, de voet en de heup.
The upper leg, the knee, the lower leg, the foot and the hip.
Alles aan elkaar.
Everything connected to each other.
En nog een been...

Dan de schouder, de bovenarm, de elleboog, de onderarm en de hand.
Then the shoulder, the upper arm, the elbow, the under arm and the hand.
De onderdelen zijn compleet.
The parts are complete.
Ik gebruik de kleine bewapening. De hand vervang ik door een met een trekkervinder...
I will use the small weapon on this one. The hand will be replaced by one with a trigger finger.

Je zou kunnen zeggen dat hij klaar is, maar...

Nu tijd voor een studie om gevechtsschade aan te brengen. Zoiets heb ik nog nooit gedaan aan figuren, dus hopen dat het goed gaat. Even oefenen op witte plastic lepels.
Now time for a study to apply battle damage. I have never done this before to figures, so keep your fingers crossed. First practice a bit on white plastic spoons.
Even een wash gedaan met met thinner verdunde olieverf (zwart en bruin). Ik denk dat het zwart een beetje is wat ik zoek.
Did a wash using white spirit diluted oil paints (black and brown). I think the black is what i am looking for.
Ook even een paar krassen op een lepel gemaakt om te zien wat er gebeurd.
Also i made some scratches on the spoon to see what happens.
Eerst laat ik de verdunde zwarte olieverf in allerlei naden lopen (rood) en daar waar scherpe lijnen zitten van opgehoogde (blauw) of lager (groen) gelegen delen. Ik laat dit een nacht drogen.
First i let the diluted black paint flow into seems (red) and there were there raised (blue) or lowered (green) panel lines are. I leave it alone for a night.
Vervolgens bewerk ik het hele figuur met dezelfde vloeistof op alle witte onderdelen, laat het heel even rusten en veeg het schoon met een wattenstaafje. Dit is het eindresultaat. Het glanzend witte harnas is verdwenen.
Then i put this fluid all over the white parts, let it rest for a short while and swiped it with a cotton swap. This is the end result. It gets rid of this shiny white armour.
Dan wat schade aan het pak met een kwastje. Hiervoor heb ik Valejo Gun Metal gebruikt. Niet precies wat ik wilde, maar het is een eerste keer.
Then some battle damage to the suit. I used Valejo Gun Metal for this. Not quite what i hoped for, but it's a first timer.
