Dit is de 1993 Footwork Hart FA14 waarmee Jos Verstappen heeft getest in 1993. Ik ga de schaal 1/20 kit bouwen van het merk AMC (Auto Modeler's Cafe kit nr AMC-0002). De inhoud is vergelijkbaar met de inhoud van een Studio27 kit. De kwaliteit is denk ik wat lager. Het metaal is wat minder netjes afgewerkt. Beneden eerst weer de foto's van de inhoud van de kit. De kit heeft 2 achtervleugels. De ene zoals op het plaatje, de ander is 'meer normaal'. Die moet ik voor de Jos Verstappen versie gebruiken.
This is the 1993 Footwork Hart FA14 as tested by Jos verstappen in 1993. I will build the scale 1/20 kit from AMC (Auto Modeler's Cafe kit no AMC-0002). The content is similar to the content of a Studio27 kit. The quality seems to be a little less. The metal casting is a little rough. Below again the pictures of the content of the kit. The kit has 2 rear wings. One like on the pic and a 'more normal' one. This is the one i need for the Jos Verstappen version.
Ik ga eerst alles klaarmaken voor het spuiten. Eerst ga ik de onderdelen in giethars een beetje bijwerken.
I will prepare everything for the paint. First i will do some work on the resin parts.
De gaten voor de voor- en achterwielophanging worden vast geboord.
The holes for the front and rear wheel suspension are being drilled.
Een paar paneelgroeven moeten eerst wat dieper worden gemaakt. Anders is er na het spuiten waarschijnlijk niets meer van te zien.
Some panel lines need to be made deeper. Otherwise they will disappear after painting.
Dan alvast het werk aan de voorvleugel. Eerst wat vuller om de kleine gaatjes te dichten.
Then some work to the front wing. First some putty to fill the small holes.
De bodemplaat en een paar onderdelen van de voorvleugel zijn voor een deel zwart gespoten.
The floor and a few parts of the front wing have partially been painted black.
Dan het wit.
Next the whites.
Het valt me nu pas op dat er weer onderdelen missen. De achtervleugel is niet compleet. Ik heb wat onderdelen gevonden in de rommeldoos en ga hiermee proberen een vleugel te bouwen.
I now notice there are pieces missing again. The rear wing is not complete. I found some parts in the scrap box and will try to build a rear wing with this.
Na het op maat zagen wordt alles gespoten.
After cutting to size everything will be painted.
Het eerste werk aan de decals.
The first steps on the decals.
Alle decals zitten er op. Ik moest voor de achtervleugel nog een paar Footwork decals maken (de Toshiba decals zijn niet juist voor mijn versie). Ze zijn niet 100% correct, maar ik doe het er mee. Nu laten drogen en dan heldere lak erover heen.
All decals are in place. For the rear wing i had to create some Footwork decals (the Toshiba decals are not correct to build my version). They are not 100% accurate, but i am happy with them. Now let it all dry and then apply a clear coat.

Hetzelfde voor de achterwielophanging.
The same goes for the rear wheel suspension.
Door met het werken aan de velgen en banden. Wanneer de banden op de velgen worden gemonteerd, worden ze helemaal wit. Net of er een laagje op zit. Vreemd. Ik hoop dat het goed komt.
Continuing with the work on the rims and tires. When the tires are mounted to the rims, they turn into white. It's like a kind of layer is on them. Strange. I hope it will turn out right.
De voorvleugel zit in elkaar.

Het dashbord, het stuur en de steun voor de achtervleugel zijn geïnstalleerd.

Nu door met de veiligheidsgordels.

De stoel en de vloerplaat zijn gemonteerd.

De velgen zitten er op.
The rims are on.
Dan het in elkaar zetten van de achtervleugel en het monteren aan de wagen.

Dan de voorvleugel, antennes en de spiegels. Op foto's zag ik dat de testversie geen barge boards en camera heeft. En klaar is ie. Niet mijn beste werk door de missende onderdelen.
Next are the front wing, antennas and the mirrors. On photo's i noticed the test version has no barge boards and camera. And ready. Not my best work due to missing parts.
